Cold drinks might just be our only best friends with this Buffalo heat! ☀️😍Our go-to homemade cold drink is our Almond Horchata… YUMMM! 🤤It’s best served cold with ice cubes (if you ask us). If you want your horchata to look much lighter, you can use peeled almonds, but we didn’t. This is just a great way to use any almonds you have around the kitchen – if you have a sweet tooth, add some more sugar! Check out the recipe below! ⁣⤵️⤵️⤵️

1 cup of rice, uncooked 🍚 ⁣
1 cup of almonds ⁣
2 cinnamon sticks ⁣
1/2 tsp of ground cloves ⁣
1/4 tsp of pure vanilla extract⁣
3 cups of water (from soaking almonds/rice) ⁣
2 cups of oat milk ⁣
3 tbs of sugar (add more if needed) ⁣

1. Rinse your rice and almonds.⁣
2. In a tupperware, soak rice and almonds overnight or 8 hours minimum. Don’t throw away water, as you’ll need it for the next step.⁣
3. Add all ingredients in a blender until fully combined. ⁣
4. Let the horchata sit for about 20 minutes. ⁣
5. Strain the horchata to get rid of any residues. ⁣
6. Refrigerate for about an hour before serving. ⁣
7. Enjoy 🙂 ⁣
