Reminiscing of these delicious sweet and spicy jackfruit tacos. They were honestly too delicious to just eat one..two.. or three 🤭😜
Ingredients:
Taco shells
20oz can of young green jackfruit with brine⁣⁣
2 tbs of coconut oil⁣⁣
2 inches of ginger, diced⁣⁣
2 garlic cloves, minced⁣⁣
1 tbs of sesame seed oil⁣⁣
3 tbs of garlic chili sauce⁣⁣
3 tbs of sweet cooking rice vinegar⁣⁣
1/4 tsp of salt⁣⁣
2 tbs of sugar⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1.Prepare your jackfruit by removing the brine and pulling it apart by hand. Set aside.⁣⁣
2. In a pan, on medium-low heat, add your ginger, garlic and coconut oil. Cook for about⁣⁣ 5 minutes. Stir to avoid garlic burning.⁣⁣
3.Bring heat to low, add sesame seed oil and garlic chili sauce. Stir well and cook for 3-⁣⁣4 minutes.⁣⁣
4.Add salt and sugar. Cook until sugar melts.⁣⁣
5.Add jackfruit and cook for 5-10 minutes.⁣⁣
6.Add your jackfruit to taco shell⁣⁣
7.Build your tacos with personal toppings – we used black sesame seeds, broccoli slaw,⁣⁣
mashed avocado and green onions.⁣⁣
8.Enjoy 🙂
