We have been holding off on getting an air fryer, but finally got one to try it out to create new recipes! 😚 So far, we are soooo impressed with the results. One of the first recipes we made were our Cheesy Guava Pastelitos!! 💜 Anything guava flavored is a win for us, but the air fryer just made these pastelitos soooo crunchy and melted the guava & cheese to perfection 😍 A huge plus to the air fryer is not deep frying and dirtying the kitchen. These pastelitos are so addictive…. we might be posting a video recipe soon too! 🎥 In the meantime, check out the recipe blow ⁣⤵️⤵️⤵️

2 1/3 cups of pastry flour ⁣
2 tbs of cooking oil ⁣
1 cup of non-dairy milk ⁣
2 tbs of sugar ⁣
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tbs of corn starch
1/2 tsp of salt ⁣
1 cup of guava paste, cut in squares ⁣
3/4 cup of vegan shredded mozzarella ⁣
3/4 cup of vegan shredded cheddar⁣
2 tbs of vegan butter, melted ⁣

1. In a mixing bowl, add your flour, sugar, baking powder, corn starch and salt. Whisk to make sure well combined.⁣
2. Add cooking oil and non-dairy milk (add more milk if dough looks dry) ⁣
3. Mix well until dough is fully combined – do not overmix.⁣
4. Let the dough rest on your countertop for 15 minutes. ⁣
5. Cut dough in half. Roll out each half of dough into a 13-15” circle with a 3/4” thickness. ⁣
6. Cut out pastelito circles using a cutter and roll them out again to about 1/8”. ⁣
7. Place your guava paste square and shredded cheese in the middle of the circle. ⁣
8. Fold circle in half and close edges by pinching with a fork. ⁣
9. Coat the pastelitos with vegan butter before putting them in the air fryer. ⁣
10. Cook in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 370F, 900W. ⁣
11. Enjoy 🙂 ⁣
